In collaboration with Black Rock Forest Consortium, AGRISCULPTURE hosted "Scavenger Sculpture - a Natural Materials Workshop" for the Biodiversity Blitz Class taught by Dr. Terryanne Maenza-Gmelch at Summer Science Day Camp 2019. Held deep in Black Rock Forest, campers collected natural materials over three days of hikes, and combined them with yarn, feathers, paint and a whole bunch of googly eyes to create their own menagerie of imaginative works! Middle and high school students from Maine to Texas (and everywhere in between) were encouraged to explore and manipulate found objects from the Forest to see and think about materials and methods in entirely fresh perspectives.
